Privacy Policy
How Mackin Digital handles your information, newsletter registration and privacy choices.

Who is responsible
Mackin Digital is an independent publication operated by Rodolfo Kindlmann Neto as an individual in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. This policy covers personal information handled through the new Mackin Digital website and its newsletter signup. Contact hello@mackin.digital about privacy or your information.
Information we receive
When you sign up, we receive your email address, the signup source, the recorded subscription request and its creation or update dates. If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information you choose to include. Please send only what is needed for your request.
Hosting and security providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, referrers and timestamps. This helps deliver the website, investigate failures and prevent abuse. During a protected preview, the access service may also process a login email, authentication events and session cookies.
Purposes and legal grounds
We use information to operate and protect the site, record newsletter subscriptions, respond to messages and handle privacy requests. Subscriber addresses are reserved for Mackin Digital newsletters and subscription-related messages. We do not sell the list or provide it to partners for their own marketing.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for newsletter subscriptions, legitimate interests for necessary site operation, security and handling inquiries where permitted, and legal obligations when processing is required by law. Reading an article does not subscribe you or authorize unrelated marketing.
Newsletter signup and your choices
The form currently records interest in future newsletters. A campaign delivery provider has not yet been selected. Registration does not currently confirm ownership of the email address through a verification message.
You can withdraw your subscription request or ask us to remove your email by writing to hello@mackin.digital. Include the address used to sign up. You do not need to explain your decision. When newsletter delivery begins, each newsletter will include a clear way to unsubscribe.
Browser storage, search and audience measurement
Your browser can store your theme preference so the site remembers your display choice. You can remove that preference by clearing this site’s browser data. Article searches run in your browser; search terms are not sent to an external search service. Loading search files still creates requests to the hosting service.
Audience analytics is not enabled in this version. The selected option for future audience measurement is Cloudflare Web Analytics, not advertising pixels or behavioral ad tracking. If activated, it will measure visits and performance using its privacy-oriented approach. Hosting and security request processing is separate from audience analytics. See Cloudflare’s privacy notice.
Fonts, videos and external websites
Google Fonts supplies the website font. Embedded YouTube videos connect your browser to their provider when loaded or used. These connections may disclose technical information, including IP addresses and browser headers; the provider may also use browser storage under its own policies. Reduced-cookie video embedding does not make these requests anonymous. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Following an external link takes you to a service with its own terms and privacy practices. You can limit third-party connections through browser settings or content-blocking tools, although some features may not work as intended.
Service providers and disclosures
We use providers for hosting, security, email, subscription storage and management, internal notifications and backups. They may receive information needed for those functions. Subscription-related internal alerts may include the subscriber’s email address so the operator can manage the signup. These are operational disclosures, not permission for a provider or partner to market to subscribers.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights or respond to a security incident. We use access restrictions and other safeguards appropriate to the information, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Retention and deletion
We keep subscription records while needed to manage the subscription or pending newsletter request, and correspondence while needed to resolve the inquiry. Retention depends on the purpose, ongoing need, security considerations and applicable legal requirements; different records may have different retention periods.
When information is no longer needed, it should be removed from active records. Backups and security records may follow separate retention cycles. We may retain a limited record of an opt-out or request where needed to respect your choice, meet legal duties or address a dispute. Ask us about a particular record through the contact email.
International processing
Mackin Digital is operated from the United States, and providers may process information in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, where privacy rules may differ. Applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be respected. Contact us for information about the provider categories and transfer arrangements relevant to your request.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy or portability of your data, restriction of processing or an objection to certain uses. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data protection authority.
Send requests to hello@mackin.digital. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request relates to your data. Requests are handled within applicable legal time limits, subject to lawful exceptions. Avoid sending identity documents or sensitive information unless specifically needed and requested.
Children and teenagers
The articles are general-interest material that teenagers can also read; the site is not directed specifically to children under 13. The current newsletter form does not verify age or obtain verified parental permission. Open access to articles does not remove legal requirements for processing children’s information.
Where applicable law requires a parent or guardian’s authorization, it must be obtained before the relevant processing. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information can contact hello@mackin.digital. If we learn that information was collected without required authorization, we will stop that use and arrange its deletion unless law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy as the site’s features or information practices change and take any additional notice or consent steps required by applicable law. The revision date identifies the current text. Privacy and deletion requests go to hello@mackin.digital.
